Job Description

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server data warehouses and data marts. Proactively monitor Microsoft SQL Server workloads, query performance, blocking, resource utilization and database health. Analyze complex SQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, partitioning schemes and workload patterns to identify optimization opportunities. Review existing data processing, integration and operational flows to identify inefficiencies and propose technical and operational improvements. Design and implement database refactoring initiatives to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance. Develop and maintain ETL processes and data integration solutions. Implement and support Change Data Capture (CDC) and other data synchronization mechanisms. Create and maintain technical documentation, data models and database standards. Collaborate with business analysts, developers and infrastructure teams to design effective data solutions. Provide production support and root cause analysis for database-related incidents and performance issues. Proactively review Microsoft SQL Server workloads, execution plans, wait statistics and performance metrics, providing recommendations and implementing improvements to enhance overall platform efficiency.
