Job Description

ControlUp is a leader in Digital Employee Experience (DEX), evolving IT operations with agentic AI to deliver Autonomous Endpoint Management (AEM) and a digital workspace that runs itself.

Our platform transforms millions of real-time signals into intelligent action, bridging the gap between deep visibility and automated remediation. We turn "IT headaches" and employee frustration into self-healing operations, allowing organizations to move beyond reactive troubleshooting toward a future where technology works seamlessly in the background.

We’re here to ensure the workday runs without disruptions. No tool sprawl, no wasted time, and no friction. Just technology that works for people, not against them, so they can stay focused on what they do best.

One platform. One powerful shift in how work flows. The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, delivery-focused Engineering Manager to build and lead a high-performing team of backend engineers working on large-scale, real-time data systems.

The team is responsible for the company's core real-time data platform, which ingests telemetry from thousands of enterprise customers and millions of devices. Using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, ClickHouse, and other modern data technologies, the platform processes massive volumes of data in real time and transforms it into reliable, scalable, and queryable information that powers multiple products across the company.

As a Manager, you’ll combine technical leadership with people management-guiding the team’s architecture, driving execution, mentoring engineers, and fostering engineering excellence while remaining hands-on when needed.

You’ll join a growing R&D organization with exceptional engineering talent, high technical standards, and strong leadership support. This is an opportunity to influence the direction of a critical platform, build scalable infrastructure, and work with modern cloud-native and big data technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
