Job Description

What you’ll be doing As a Lead Engineer, you’ll work closely with Product Owners, Engineers and delivery squads to turn the core banking business needs into technical solutions. You’ll be responsible for: Leading technical solution design and delivery ensuring alignment with domain architecture strategies Providing hands-on engineering support and helping developers resolve technical challenges Reviewing code and ensuring solutions meet quality, security and engineering standards Identifying technical risks, dependencies and roadblocks and driving these through to resolution Embedding effective development, testing and operations practices across the squad Supporting root cause analysis, post-incident reviews and the prioritisation of technical defects Leading release planning, change sequencing and technical delivery decisions Contributing to strategic technical roadmaps in partnership with product and architecture teams Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation, standards and processes Mentoring engineers and helping uplift technical capability across the team
