We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical DevOps Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our nearshore team in Portugal. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions that support our organization's mission-critical applications. You will work collaboratively with development and operations teams to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable cloud environments while optimizing deployment processes and system reliability. Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and networking services Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform to ensure consistent and reproducible environments Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build and other automation tools to streamline application deployment processes Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to enhance application scalability and portability Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application performance issues with a focus on minimizing downtime Establish and maintain comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure system health and visibility Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment strategies and cloud resource utilization Implement security best practices and compliance standards across cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and runbooks to support team knowledge sharing and operational efficiency Participate in on-call rotation to provide timely incident response and resolution support
