Expeditors is seeking a seasoned, motivated, and well-qualified real estate attorney to step into an Assistant Corporate Counsel position supporting the company’s Real Estate and Global Sourcing practice group. This role offers exposure to a dynamic international practice spanning commercial real estate matters and vendor and procurement contracts. As an Assistant Corporate Counsel, you will support the global Legal Department in representing Expeditors’ best interests in interactions with landlords, vendors, and service providers. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for advising internal clients on best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and corporate requirements, as well as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements. In addition, you will have the opportunity to support litigation management, contribute to various strategic initiatives owned by the Legal Department and the practice group, and work across legal disciplines and time zones while collaborating directly with senior legal and business stakeholders. A successful candidate must be able to effectively manage multiple matters with different priorities at the same time. Responsibilities Handle real estate leasing, amendments, estoppels, and construction build-outs. Lead or support commercial procurement and capital project contracting. Assisting with outside counsel management as part of the Legal Department’s strategic initiatives.
