Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: April 25, 2027 / 6 months, with possible extension Work set up: Hybrid (3 days per week in office) Clearance required: BPSS Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Java Developer to support the re-platforming and modernisation of an application within the Developer Experience (DevX) Standards and Controls function. The role will involve moving an application from a vendor platform (PCF) to an internal Bring Your Own Code (BYOC) platform, modernising the application, and resolving dependency issues. What you will do: Collaborate with developers, testers, and the wider organisation to build and run products. Design, develop, and implement back-end features according to backlog and priority, with a small element of front-end development. Collaborate with the engineering team to design and launch new features. Proactively work with customers to resolve issues and respond to feature requests. Build APIs and microservices. Work in an Agile CI/CD environment to deliver rapid iterations at a sustained velocity. Participate actively in peer reviews and test other code through automated test scripting.
