This position will assist their assigned department in fulfilling their objectives while receiving hands on experience while furthering their education. All interns must be willing to accept underground mining assignments while employed with the Company. Major Responsibilities Conduct all work activities in compliance with federal and state laws and company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Surface or underground operational employment will require additional training to be provided by the Company. Intern will be assigned to crews or departments to assist with the completion of a variety of tasks to expose intern to different jobs and procedures. Underground interns will evaluate and solve operational problems and carry out engineering-related tasks associated with underground mine systems to include ventilation, hoisting, conveyance, electrical design, mechanical maintenance, and roof control. Physical, environmental, and sensory requirement will change dependent upon assignment.
