<p><strong>What you will be doing</strong></p>
<p>The Senior DevOps Engineer is a key technical owner at Neros, responsible for the infrastructure, CI/CD, and secure-environment compliance that all of Neros' software ships onto. You'll leverage deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and back-end systems to design and operate robust, reliable, and auditable platforms. You'll make key architectural decisions, own delivery, and hold the bar for performance, security, and reliability.</p>
<p><strong>You should have the following</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience</li>
<li>Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration)</li>
<li>Strong experience with Azure cloud services (deployment, networking, resource management, scaling)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Bicep)</li>
<li>Hands-on administration and operation of CI/CD pipelines and runners in secure environments (e.g., GitLab CI)</li>
<li>Deep Linux system administration experience (hardening, troubleshooting, performance tuning, configuration management)</li>
<li>Experience designing and maintaining cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure architectures (dev/staging/prod) with repeatability and reliability</li>
<li>Familiarity with network architecture concepts (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, load balancing, segmentation)</li>
<li>Experience with secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and PKI</li>
<li>Ability to design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability pipelines for infra + application health</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Security &amp; compliance experience (FIPS 140-2/140-3; implementing controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171 / 800-172 / 800-53)</li>
<li>Familiarity administering IAM solutions (Okta; Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD) for SSO/MFA and identity governance</li>
<li>Zero-trust security architecture; STIG hardening / RMF processes</li>
<li>Embedded Linux, and embedded system interfacing; C/C++ familiarity</li>
<li>Strong scripting for automation (Bash; Python)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>US Salary Range</strong></p>
<p>$165,000 - $231,000 USD</p>
<p>The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.</p>
