<h3 class="paragraph-3"><strong class="bold-text-2">The Role</strong></h3>

<p class="paragraph-3">At Nex, we move fast. This role <strong><span class="notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="1">upstream sourcing strategy and execution</span> for <span class="notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="3">critical ICs / memory</span> </strong>(e.g., SoC, camera modules, memory). Partner with principals to secure design/development support, allocation, pricing, and<strong> <span class="notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="5">Nex-preferred contracts</span></strong>. Ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and resilience as we scale Playground hardware globally. At Nex, we move fast. <h3 class="text-block-4"><strong class="bold-text-2">What You'll Do</strong></h3>

<li><strong>Upstream Partnerships, Pricing & Forecasting</strong>

<ul>

<li>Build and manage strategic supplier relationships for assigned commodities.</li>

<li>Drive pricing strategy, negotiations, and <strong>locked-in commercial terms</strong> (cost models, should-cost, allocation guarantees).</li>

<li>Establish forecasting cadence with internal stakeholders and suppliers; translate demand signals into supply plans.</li>

<li>Drive alignment on lead times, MOQs, allocation strategy, and upside planning.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li><strong>Supply Resilience & AVL Management</strong>

<ul>

<li>Build and maintain an Approved Vendor List (AVL) for critical components.</li>

<li>Plan and execute dual-sourcing / second-source qualification, including risk assessments and readiness gates.</li>

<li>Identify critical point-of-failure risks and implement mitigation plans (supply, capacity, geopolitical, and quality risks).</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li><strong>Core Component Strategy (SoC / Camera / Memory)</strong>

<ul>

<li>Shape commodity strategy and supplier selection recommendations for core technologies (e.g., SoC, camera, memory).</li>

<li>Collaborate with engineering and quality on supplier capability assessment, qualification planning, and change control.</li>

<li>Track roadmaps and ensure sourcing decisions support product performance, cost, and schedule.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li><strong>Allocation & Execution</strong>

<ul>

<li>Secure priority allocation during shortages; manage lead times and supply ramps.</li>

<li>Track supplier KPIs (OTD, yield, quality); drive continuous cost/efficiency improvements.</li>

</ul>

</li>

</ul>

<h3 style="text-align: left;"><strong class="bold-text-2">What You Bring</strong></h3>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business (Master's preferred).</li>

<li>5–10+ years sourcing / supplier management in consumer electronics / hardware; IC / memory / SoC experience essential.</li>

<li>Proven commercial negotiation, cost analysis, and <strong>multi-sourcing</strong> track record.</li>

<li>Cross-functional collaboration with engineering/operations in fast-paced settings.</li>
