OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Engineer - Maintenance (Reliability - Mechanical) to  design, develop, test, and oversee the maintenance of mechanical system and devices to maintain and improve asset health. The role involves applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to create a solution that improves efficiency, functionality, and safety in various applications. Investigate failures and generates and communicates solutions. Key task and responsibilities: Compares the pros and cons of alternative design options and develops an optimized design alternative based on risk, reliability, and/or uncertainty analysis Gathers and analyses information to enable the cost-effective allocation of resources that are available for maintenance to provide the highest levels of safety and reliability of engineered systems and works Review, Plan and scheduling of all maintenance work through computerized maintenance management system-Pronto Xi, to ensure resources are prioritized in accordance with the maintenance strategy. Ensure planned routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, breakdowns, approved modifications are scheduled to be undertaken with minimum disruption to the Process/Mining operation Performs life cycle analysis of equipment to determine length of effective usage of equipment or machine Establishes the technical design, selection, specification, modification and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to provide engineering design and support to production, maintenance and project teams Conduct risk assessments for mining operation, identifying, and evaluating potential risks and their impacts
