Full Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript/React)

Our solution helps patients and families access essential radiology services at fair prices and without surprise bills, all while delivering immediate savings and ROI for employers and payers on every exam.</p></div><p>We are seeking a versatile Full Stack Software Engineer who can contribute across our entire technology stack. You'll help architect and build end-to-end solutions for our healthcare platform, from intuitive user interfaces to robust backend services. This role involves developing features that span our React frontend and TypeScript/Node.js backend, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance throughout our patient and provider experiences.</p>

<p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Design and implement full stack features using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL</li>

<li>Build responsive, accessible frontend interfaces that provide exceptional user experiences for patients and healthcare providers</li>

<li>Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs with comprehensive authentication, authorization, and HIPAA-compliant audit logging</li>

<li>Create reusable React components and maintain consistent design patterns across the application</li>

<li>Implement state management solutions and optimize frontend performance for complex healthcare workflows</li>

<li>Write comprehensive tests across the stack, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests</li>

<li>Align with UI/UX designs and PRDs to translate screens and prototypes into production-ready features</li>

<li>Work closely with data engineering teams to integrate analytics and business intelligence capabilities</li>

<li>Participate in architecture decisions that impact both frontend and backend systems</li>

<li>Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues across the stack, and ensure minimal downtime</li>

<li>Leverage AWS services for deployment, including S3, CloudFront, Route 53, App Runner, and Fargate</li>

<li>Maintain clear documentation for APIs, component libraries, and architectural decisions</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline with 4+ years of full stack development experience, or 6+ years of relevant industry experience</li>

<li>Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript across both frontend and backend environments</li>

<li>Expertise with React, Next.js, and modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.)</li>

<li>Proven experience with Node.js, Express, and RESTful API development</li>

<li>Solid understanding of both MongoDB (Mongoose) and PostgreSQL database systems</li>

<li>Experience with responsive design, CSS-in-JS solutions, and frontend performance optimization</li>

<li>Familiarity with testing frameworks including Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress</li>

<li>Understanding of web security best practices and experience implementing secure authentication/authorization</li>

<li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug issues across the entire stack</li>

<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM) and handling sensitive medical data</li>

<li>Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and security best practices</li>

<li>Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture</li>

<li>Proficiency with AWS services and cloud-native development</li>

<li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</li>

<li>Familiarity with server-side rendering and Next.js optimization techniques</li>

<li>Experience integrating AI/ML services (OCR, LLM) into web applications</li>

<li>Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles</li>

</ul>

<p><em>The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000.  Individual compensation will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, experience, location, and applicable laws.
