<p style="text-align: center;">This role handles the daily operations of the Accounting Department. The Controller will assist in establishing proper accounting procedures and help our department reach financial reporting objectives.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>People &amp; Leadership:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee the operations and personnel of the accounting department</li>
<li>Setup recurring touch points to meet with each accounting member (monthly or quarterly)</li>
<li>Participation in Quarterly Managers Meetings</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Accounting policies and procedures</strong>:&nbsp;</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintaining and improving internal financial controls and procedures</li>
<li>Establish cross training within the accounting department so all roles and tasks have a backup</li>
<li>Oversee the processes of the Accounting Department and document procedures to be electronically stored.</li>
<li>Ensuring day to day accounting functions are carried out accurately and efficiently</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Financial Reporting:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Meeting the financial close deadline (currently a 5 day close)</li>
<li>Calculate monthly service and construction sales commissions and prepare statements</li>
<li>Prepare and enter monthly journal entries and reconcile various accounts</li>
<li>Perform Work in Process reporting, related journal entries and reconciliations</li>
<li>Prepare and manage Fixed Asset depreciation calculations and quarterly disposal determinations</li>
<li>Track new vehicles and update leases</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Inventory Management:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Establish, document and store process &amp; procedures</li>
<li>Reconciliation to the general ledger</li>
<li>Coordinate annual physical count and rotating truck counts</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Reporting &amp; KPIs:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Attend and contribute to the Quarterly Managers Meetings</li>
<li>Review of account Recons vs Budget</li>
<li>Produce and provide monthly reporting to leadership on Gross Margin analysis</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Project WIP Management:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Attend project meetings bi-monthly</li>
<li>Push estimated cost updates and track causes</li>
<li>Push Change Order execution</li>
<li>Push deposits for equipment</li>
<li>Provide cost incurred vs cash collections tracking</li>
<li>Margin variance analysis</li>
<li>Produce and distribute monthly Project WIP drivers</li>
</ul>
