Our HealthTech delivers digital transformation for Insurers, Educators and Employers through Co-creation or seamlessly integrated out-of-the-box solutions, that decrease digital fragmentation and engage, empower, and transform their people’s lives. Established in 2018 by Stuart McGoldrick and Stephen Costello, Spectrum.Life provides services internationally to over 7.2m insurance members, 3,000 corporate clients, 60 universities and 650,000 university students. Spectrum.Life currently employs over 450 people. Our vision is to change and save as many lives as possible. Spectrum.Life’s Neurodiversity Service consists of a multidisciplinary team of qualified, accredited, knowledgeable, and experienced professionals who are passionate about supporting people to understand themselves and live happy, healthy, authentic, and meaningful lives. Our neurodiversity team continually strives to embody and develop neuro-affirming practice. We oppose the assumption that there is one ‘standard’ neurotype that exists and recognise that the population is neurodiverse. Neurotype (or brain type) variation is not only natural and inevitable but valuable (i.e. not a deficit). We recognise that the process of being neurodiversity affirming is an ongoing journey with no fixed end point, and one which requires constant action, learning, engagement, and commitment. We continually evaluate our practice through critical reflection and active seeking of feedback, and challenge neuro-normative thinking at every opportunity. Are you passionate about neurodiversity, mental health, and wellbeing? Do you want to make a real difference to people’s lives? We are seeking a PSI Chartered Psychologist (clinical or counselling) to join our team to provide timely, high-quality assessments and psychological interventions for individuals using digital platforms. This exciting opportunity will be within our neurodiversity affirming service, where you will primarily be undertaking neurodivergence identity explorations (assessments) with individuals that are older than 7 years. The role requires working collaboratively with clients, alongside a multidisciplinary team, to undertake comprehensive clinical interviews, diagnostic identity explorations, and provide post-identification collaboration with clients. You will additionally be responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner, as well as providing appropriate recommendations and interventions. Additionally, you may be involved in individual therapy, group work, and consultations with families and other professionals. You will have a good knowledge of working psychologically with individuals and those important to them, as well as expertise in the assessment and support of individuals presenting with a range of psychological and behavioural difficulties. Additionally, a comprehensive knowledge of digital platforms and the capability to utilise them effectively, ethically, and safely will be essential. You will undertake initial assessments with families and individuals to help identify the best assessment, intervention or support for their needs. You will be involved in delivering high quality, clinically robust and neurodiversity affirming assessment and intervention. You will have a caseload where you will be the designated lead practitioner, which will involve building a relationship with individuals and their family and being the key person guiding them through their support journey. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure each individual experiences a thorough multidisciplinary assessment and formulation of their strengths and challenges that informs helpful recommendations and a plan for next steps. You will provide written reports detailing assessments you complete, presenting complex information in a clear and accessible way. You will work in a way that ensures the safety and wellbeing of individuals and those that are close to them, following relevant safeguarding and risk procedures. You will support the clinical and service leads with the day to day running of the service, including monitoring of feedback and outcomes in order ensure we are delivering clinically robust, effective and strengths-based assessment and intervention that clients are happy with. You will help families and individuals to better understand challenges they may be experiencing and set and work towards their individual goals through intervention, support and coaching.
