The Junior Web Software Developer will support the development, maintenance, enhancement, and deployment of enterprise web applications in a Microsoft Azure environment. Working under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads, the individual will contribute to application development, troubleshooting, testing, and modernization efforts within an Agile and DevSecOps environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise web applications using Java, Java EE, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate and REST APIs. Support the migration and modernization of existing web applications from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure. Support website design and development activities, including site concepts, user interfaces, navigation, and application functionality. Develop and maintain application components using Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Assist with implementing interfaces and integrations between web applications, databases, and enterprise systems. Support database development and maintenance activities, including SQL queries, data retrieval, and troubleshooting using relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle. Assist with migrating and modernizing existing web applications from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure. Assist with implementing and maintaining cloud-based applications using Azure services, including Azure App Service and Azure Database for PostgreSQL. Develop, test, debug, and document application features, enhancements, and defect fixes under the guidance of senior developers. Support application deployments and CI/CD processes using Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS/OpenShift), as applicable. Assist with application troubleshooting, performance monitoring, security vulnerability remediation, routine maintenance, and production support. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and adherence to established coding standards and secure software development practices. Collaborate with developers, testers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to support application integrations and resolve technical issues. Support Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and progress reporting. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including application changes, deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system support materials.
