Tumela Lower mining is embarking on a structural remedial program to replace multiple buntons, screens, guides and walkway platforms on the bottom portion of the mine. Being part of the structural repair crew will give the full opportunity to construct and fabricate steel work up until the installation and evaluation phase. This project seeks experienced personnel well known for conducting such specialized work. The Engineering Assistant Discipline Specific UG will be responsible to assist the Foreman and Artisan providing Engineering services and support in the assigned areas through effective maintenance and installation of equipment for achievement of production performance levels. Roles and responsibilities include the below: Good House keeping Material & workshop machinery & equipment control Loading, dispatching material & equipment to work sites Provides assistance to all trades (Artisans) with activities within and without the team. Ensure tool availability Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks Communication to artisans any unexpected problems Effective two-way communication with team members Help operational employees to maintain equipment in area of responsibility Accompany artisan when inspecting and completing tasks Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices Report any safety related issues to the artisan or full-time safety rep The role is at a B2 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman/Artisan.
